They are the most commonly used migrating slip agents. These are lubricants which are incompatible with the polymer matrix, so migrate to the surface, reducing adhesion. These can also act as antistatic agents. They are often used with an antiblocking agent, so can be included in the same masterbatch for incorporation into the polymer.
